HYPE Mother's Day Event A Huge Success

A very big “THANK YOU” goes out to our HYPE members who donated Mother’s Day gifs and craft supplies for our “Mom Shop” at Jane’s Lunchbox. Seventeen children from the Carver and Memorial Park areas were able to make homemade cards and “shop” for Mother’s Day at no cost. These kids may not otherwise have been able to give their mothers gifts, so this was a very special event. Another big “THANK YOU” is in order for our mayor, Jane Myron. She opened up her restaurant for the event and even baked cookies for everyone! We had a blast and are already looking forward to next year!

April HYPE Get-together

Join HYPE this Tuesday night for a get-together at the Tipton Street Pub in downtown Johnson City. We'll meet at 6:30 p.m. for some good food and friends. A New Year… A New Format…

HYPE has an exciting new format for 2009. Regular dinner meetings will be held bimonthly in even-months-- February, April, June, August, October and December. These meetings will still be held on the third Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

In the odd-numbered months— March, May, July, September and November, we hold “anti-meetings.” Here’s a preview of what’s to come:

November – Regional event

There’s never been a better time to get involved with HYPE! Make plans to attend our dinner meetings and don’t miss out on our anti-meetings.

This Month, HYPE encourages you to celebrate America and the democracy that makes her great. Catch the presidential inauguration on January 20 or attend the region’s local celebration at Russo’s Orleans. Cost is $20 per person.
